Learning Experience
At CodingStar, students follow our structured course sequence to accelerate their learning. We offer both private 1:1 classes, small group sessions and independent study, so that you can choose the option that best suits your needs.
Private
Students work with a dedicated, recurring tutor on a weekly basis.
Our tutors not only provide high-quality instruction, but also form relationships as role models and mentors to their students.
At the start of each class, the tutor reviews homework and explains a new concept. Then, the student works on applying this concept to a project or problem set, while the tutor provides guidance as appropriate.
Regular
Regular consists of 2 students per group.
Students work through course material at their own pace using the CodingStar Learner Portal, and bring questions about concepts and projects to their scheduled online Group Sessions.
During Group Sessions, a tutor checks each students' work, helps debug code, and assigns each student new material. Students share their work and discuss related questions with other students.
Outside of Group Sessions, students have 24/7 access to the CodingStar Learner Portal, so they can independently work through the videos and project-based curriculum.
Solo (independent study)
Students work through course material at their own pace using the CodingStar Learner Portal.
Students have 24/7 access to the CodingStar Learner Portal, so they can independently work through the videos and project-based curriculum.
“Everyone should learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think.”
